San Bao in Chinese means “Three Treasures”. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) they are:
Qi. The Chinese character for Qi incorporates the symbols for “rice” and “rising steam” -food and air, the fuels for Life.
Jing, which could be translated as Essence, our Constitution, inherited from both parents.
Shen, commonly translated as Spirit.
We must make sure to preserve and nurture our “San Bao” in order to maintain optimal health on all levels. That is, on an emotional, physical, physiological, psychological, mental, and spiritual level. Dealing with health and well-being in TCM is thus about dealing with the person as a whole, never isolating the different aspects of the person, in order to provide healing at the deepest level. This is why at the San Bao TCM Acupuncture clinic the focus in on treating individuals, not named diseases, let alone just symptoms.
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) originated in ancient China and has stood the test of time, its basics and fundamental theories remaining practically unchanged over thousands of years. This complete system of medicine is rooted in an ancient philosophy called Taoism. To prevent or treat health problems, TCM practitioners use Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture – Moxibustion, Cupping, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, among a wide choice of available therapies.
At the San Bao clinic, I specialise in Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Cupping, and Dietary Therapy.
